Unique wellness ritual

The heat of volcanic stones

Ganbanyoku is a heated volcanic stone bed emitting gentle infrared heat and negative ions. It is a peaceful, calming form of relaxation — without the extreme temperatures of a classic sauna.

Benefits for body and mind

The session supports the body’s regeneration, helps reduce tension and stress, and improves circulation. This treatment also promotes body detoxification and supports deep relaxation and sleep.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

1. Do you enter Ganbanyoku naked, just like a traditional sauna?
No, it is a completely different kind of treatment. The Japanese rock sauna is used in comfortable, loose clothing (e.g., a cotton t-shirt and shorts) or a special relaxation outfit. Additionally, for full comfort and hygiene, a large towel is spread on the heated stone bed.
The optimal time for a single session is usually between 45 and 60 minutes, which allows the body to fully unwind. Due to the boutique nature of our wellness zone and our commitment to the complete privacy of our guests, we encourage you to book your session times in advance at the reception.
Before the session, we recommend drinking a glass of mineral water, as your body will sweat intensely. Interestingly, the sweat produced during this treatment has a different structure (it is odorless), so after your relaxation is over, it is worth waiting about 2 hours before taking a shower to allow your skin to fully absorb the valuable ions.
